Join us for an engaging and affirming space for dialogue, reflection, and collective learning at AERA 2026 in Los Angeles, CA. This session brings together scholars, practitioners, and community voices to explore how research can move beyond theory and into meaningful action that supports equity, empowerment, and transformational change. Grounded in the spirit of the Sista Circle (Johnson, 2015), this discussion centers lived experiences, shared wisdom, and collaborative strategies for addressing issues that impact Black women and girls in education and related spaces. Participants will have the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and build community while reflecting on how research can serve as a tool for advocacy, healing, and social change.
